I haven’t done a review for miniatures in a while, so today, we’ll be looking at the Sylvanian Families Toilet Set!
Let’s look at the packaging first!
Here’s the front of the box showing off the set.
The left side~
The back shows how you can set up your set with your Sylvanian critters.
And the right side lists all the contents!
Here are all the parts! ( ◕‿◕)/
There are three main furniture pieces: the toilet, a small shelf, and a divider with a built-in sink.
The accessories include (from top to bottom, left to right): a brush holder, a brush, two toilet paper rolls (one with a centre rod and one without), a toilet paper holder, a bottle of cleaning fluid, a small plant, a towel handle, a towel, a small dish of potpourri, a mat, and slippers.
And there’s also a sticker sheet for labels, decorations, and toilet paper patterns.
The toilet~~!
Here’s a close-up of the toilet. The lid can be opened and closed.
And so can the seat!
The shelf has two doors which can also be opened and closed.
This is the divider. The sink is unfortunately attached to it. The little indent is for attaching the hand towel handle.
Here is the cleaning fluid and toilet paper with the stickers applied.
The toilet paper holder attaches to the wall using double-sided tape. I’m a little disappointed by that though since it can’t be re-used.
The towel folds onto the handle, and the handle is inserted into the divider. The toilet paper holder is stuck onto the side.
The room is complete! (^▽^)
Everything is all set up inside one of my Nendoroid play sets! The room itself is Japanese-themed while the Sylvanian Families set is western-themed, so I apologize in advance for the slight clash in styles.
The slippers were made for Sylvanian critters, so they’re much too big for Nendoroids to wear, but how does the rest of this set scale?
Sena has come to show us!!
She doesn’t look too happy about it though..
Here she is standing in the room. Nothing looks out of proportion; I would say the set is just the right size for Nendoroids! To give you a better idea…
Here is Sena sitting on the toilet~!
I think she’s glaring at me..(;¬_¬)
As you can see, she sits on the throne perfectly. She is not supported by anything other than her butt. Her legs may be dangling, but it doesn’t make the toilet look like it’s too big at all. That’s just the nature of Nendoroids.
The accessories are also the right size!
I gave Sena the brush and told her to try cleaning the toilet. I don’t think she enjoyed that very much.
Remember to wash your hands!
Lastly, here she is using the sink after using/cleaning the toilet. It’s also the perfect height for her!
Although the size is just right, I think this set overall is a little limited in use. It doesn’t come with that many accessories, and most of it is for use in washroom-related scenarios. If you have a Nendoroid house that needs a bathroom, however, this wouldn’t be a bad set to have. Otherwise, I can’t say I really recommend getting this set.
The quality and paint job is great, as always. I didn’t particularly like the wood finish and the flower accents since they make everything look very old-fashioned and country-themed, but that’s a problem I have for the whole Sylvanian Families line.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say about this set! I hope you’ve enjoyed my review. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions~
Sena’s finally happy after I gave the PSP back to her..
・‿・)ノ~~ See you again next time! Mata ne~
What playset are you using? The japanese styled room.
The walls are from Good Smile Company’s Japanese Life Playsets A and B, and the base is from their School Life Playsets. I hope that helps!
Thank you for the fast reply! ❤ Awesome review by the way
